Les maisons les plus insolites

My Swiss friend, the musician and graphic/web designer Nico Monguzzi, posted this link to some pretty odd buildings from around the world. – GF

I loved the surrealist quality of the stone house, although it had the eerie quality of someone whose face has been deformed by an enormous growth. The concept was interesting though in terms of tying a house into it's landscape. A more successful version of that concept, which is simply stunning inside and out (and not in the slightest bit surreal) is the house designed by Bill Bedford up on Stanwich Road in Greenwich. It has multiple cantilevered spaces projecting out of a rocky hillside. Each outcropping has it's own green rooftop garden as well. It's one of the most stunning houses I have eve seen.
